These are a Few of My Favorite Things
I love this picture- not for its quality, but how it captures so many of the things I love.
My Grandmommy made this apron for me for my birthday. I love, love, love to cook, and could never have too many aprons!!
The Jane Hollinger necklace that I have been wanting for months, and months, and months. I actually got it a while ago, but this is the first picture I have of me wearing it. I love that it’s classy, yet so subtle.
Mr. Perry, of course, my precious, precious angel, with quite a crazy hair do- which means HE DOES ACTUALLY SLEEP EVENTUALLY!! ;)
The outfit he is wearing is an adorable little appliquéd reindeer Jon-Jon from his Aunt Becky. This is one of my favorite things about being a Mommy- getting to dress my little one in such cute outfits!
My hair… I know, I know… this one sounds a little vain. But many of you do not know the horrors my hair has gone through. (It’s been a nice shade of near purple, cut one length on one side and another on the other, fried to the point of breaking/falling out-notice all those little frizzies??…, and bangs that have literally been angled upwards… not even making this up.) So, for the first time in a looooonnnnng time, I really LOVE the cut and color of it. Whew!
We are standing in my kitchen. I think it is my favorite room in the house. (Okay, well, a VERY close second behind Perry’s nursery.) Justin and I have worked SO hard on it. EVERYTHING is different from when we moved in our house. Justin and my Daddy retiled the floor, Justin and I sanded, primed, and refinished all of the cabinets, and we tore down ALL of the wall paper and repainted it a light teal blue and bright orange, with a “funky chicken” theme. My mom even gave me this CUTE chicken painting by a local artist to go in the dining nook.
And I also LOVE the Y-U-M letters hanging in the dining nook. By no means is this a fancy kitchen by general standards, but I just love it! Especially since I love cooking so much.
And Perry’s passie- Despite my Grandmomma’s annoyance for this, I love that Perry still takes a passie. Passies were ‘my thing’ when I was a baby. I used to have three in my mouth and one in each hand, just in case. I love that Perry loves something that I used to love too. (Plus, there aren’t too many physical reminders that he’s still my ‘baby.’) So this is going to be a hard one for his MOMMY to give up.
