Happy Independence Day!

We had a very low key 4th this year.  We spent the early afternoon with Justin's parents and grandparents, celebrating his Mom's 50th birthday with some DELICIOUS pineapple birthday cake!

Then, we headed home so that I could lie down for a bit due to a bad headache, while Justin took P down to our playground at the end of our street.  {I'm gonna take just a second to brag on Justin since he doesn't get too much bloggy love around here.  I love him so much and think he is just the BEST Daddy to Perry and such a sweet husband to me.  When he noticed that I was having a bad headache, he just up and offered to give me about an hour to myself.  He knew exactly what I needed and what would make Perry happy also.  We're very blessed to have him in our family!}

After a lazy afternoon, we popped in a frozen pizza and all lounged on the couch to watch fireworks on TV.  It wasn't what we had originally planned for the evening, but our modified plans turned out to be just perfect.
