My Love {Favorite Photo Friday}

First and foremost, I just want to say the biggest 'thank you' to everyone that has offered words of encouragement, shared your own stories of adoption related hardships and overcomes, and have said prayers for our family.  We are so grateful and humbled by your love.  We know God has big things in store for our family, and we have felt so much peace in the past 24 hours... I mean, we still have no clue what route we will take to build our family, but we know God will show us in due time!

Until then, I am keeping myself occupied with snuggling my sweet little one today.  He is so sick with the nastiest stomach virus I have ever seen, God love him.  He's lying across me snoozing away (thank you Lord!) as I edit photos and catch up in blog world.  I hope he feels much better very soon!!

As I snuggle him today and look through photos of his extreme cuteness, I just can't help but feel so incredibly blessed.  I love being this BOY'S Mommy!  He makes me so proud and has a personality on him that no one could contain.  He is my love.  I knew being a Mommy would be great, but I never dreamed it would be quite this amazing.

Love you to forever and back my Sweet P!

Homewood Park

I finally got a chance to upload the photos from my "real camera" from last Friday, and I was so excited to see all that I saw.  PURE JOY.

Mr. P had so much fun hanging out at the park for a long while, and I thoroughly enjoyed him being a little more independent than usual and having so much fun.  You see, P is terribly shy-despite his wildness-and typically hangs pretty close by his Mommy.  And although I was only a few steps behind with my trusty camera in tow, he was having no problem letting me be the follower.

There were tons of other kids on the playground, and as cliche' as it sounds, I was just so proud that Perry was {is} mine.  He is such a sweet soul and is polite to the other children, and of course, I can't help but think he is the cutest little thing ever.  Especially that little belly button of his. If only everyday could be a "Perry Day."

I Scream, You Scream

P and Me Scream for Ice Cream!

I had the day off last Friday, so P and me decided to hang out in Birmingham for most of the day.  I haven't downloaded the photos from my "real" camera yet, but these are a few Iphone snaps of the most delicious ice cream outing ever!  It was our first time to the Edgewood Creamery, and I can say without a doubt we will be going again!  Especially since I have a coupon!

Tis the Season

for planting!

In my last photography class, my teacher taught us how to do this cute little radial blur trick.  I’ve been looking for an opportunity to try it out for a while, and the Lowe’s flower department felt like the perfect time…granted, the employees were starring at me like I was a little strange for whopping out my big ‘ole camera and snapping pictures of my kid in a buggy, but hey, whatever it takes.

P and I have really been enjoying this spring season so far.  We’ve planted several herbs and P’s very favorite, Marigolds, because they are “Kabota Orange.”  This kid and his tractors!  LOVE him!

I have the most amazing photo shoot for Mr. P’s birthday all designed up in my head and am praying that maybe next month after my sister’s wedding we are able to make it happen.  The problem is that I need some props that I don’t have, soooo I’m going to have to convince a certain sweet hubby of mine to help me make do somehow.

I’m also going to make a very valiant effort after Melissa’s wedding (in May) to be a better blogger.  This little space of the www is very important to me-the problem is, I am particular about the way my photos look on the blog which makes posts a little more time consuming than they used to be.  And like every other person on the face of the Earth it seems-time is a hot commodity.  I will say, though, I’m a daily poster on IG and would LOVE it if you wanted to follow along!  You can find me at @murphreesmoments  Until next time….
