(A lot of the near future posts may be very boring to most, but I want to have all these memories for later!)

I had emailed our agency some random questions about our case about an hour and a half earlier and had just gotten cozied up on the couch to work on the adoption auction (coming Sunday!) As I went to plug in my phone to download photos I'd just taken of auction stuff, my phone rang: Holt International.  

For a fleeting second, I thought it was very strange she'd call me back to answer my question rather than just emailing me, and in about the time I processed the oddness of it, I went crazy!! My heart stopped, my stomach flipped, and I was shaking so much I almost dropped my phone!!

Right before I answered it I remembered to screenshot the call (to have for Jack Cruz's life book) and by the time I was able to get my hands to cooperate, it had already rung (rang?) 5 or 6 times and I fully expected to answer it and her already have hung up!

It was SO fun to hear: I have some really good news for your family!! And I squealed and started sobbing and shaking like crazy!  Seriously, it was every Miss America's crowning moment of glory up in the Murphree loving room.  Ecstatic and surreal are HUGE understatements!! 

We got our date!!! August 29!! 

(news of this magnitude merits an early calendar change!)

We meet our baby cakes Aug 25 & 27 and court the 29th!!!

That means in exactly ONE month to the day, our plane will be landing in the land of the morning calm.  And hours.  Not even days later, we will meet our second son. 

And having the patience to tell Justin in person almost killed me.  

But to see his sweet smile and reaction (that I 'videoed' only to realize my excited fumble fingers didn't actually mash the video button-boo!) was totally worth the 4 hours it took him to arrive in our driveway.  And allowed me time to score a cookie cake.  Boom. 

And by the way, that's a 9, not a 7, and it was only a bajillion degrees in direct sunlight when I created that masterpiece! Oiy.
