Red Cake {Yumminess}

Doing a little guest posting on my sweet friend, Nancy's, blog this morning.

You definitely wanna hop on over and get my Grandmomma's famous Red Cake recipe.

It's a little piece of love, from our heart to yours.

And enjoy getting to know the Crazy Nine... because they are pretty much awesome sauce.

The {List}

We've done A N O T H E R round of sickness over here.

Seriously.

I can't even.

And despite doing an epic job at keeping up with my Project{365} this year, I haven't downloaded the majority of my photos.

And I ran across this cute list on a feed I follow and thought it would be super fun to break the silence.

*So, here is my list*

Reading: The Best Yes, my Bible (my one year plan is realistically looking more like the three year plan)

Playing: Design Star.  We have some plans up our sleeves and that means our house needs to be getting market ready.  So, we've been trucking away at our #onegiftcardatatime master bathroom, just ordered some flooring for 4 spaces in the house, and have a small craft room in the works.  We are also playing bedroom basket turnover as soon as we get the floor in.

Watching: Well... was watching... seasons are in that breaking point and we really don't have anytime anyway with Pman's new ball schedule.  So, up until last week we were shamlessly addicted to The Bachelor and Switched at Birth.  I'm also a Duggar fan and have enjoyed seeing their realities unfold this season.

Trying: To cherish every single day.  hour.  moment.  Our family has gone through some big changes recently and patience from everyone is a must.  But even in the trying times, I'm truly trying to cherish the moments because I know how fleeting they are.  Best advice I was ever given (shout out Sista Shasta!) was: The days are long, but the years are short.  {que the tears...}

Cooking: Pork Chop Bulgogi, Macaronni and Cheese, Rice, Corn

Eating: ...ate... two mini cupcakes and a few lime tortilla chips for after-school-snack

Drinking: Sweet Tea.  All day, everyday.

Calling:  I haven't called a single person all day I don't believe.  It's really hard to talk with Jack Cruz in the background.  Even if he's all happy go lucky.  And he always takes the phone from me anyway.  That cruise ship director guy that keeps calling is gonna have to brush up on his Korean before he gets anywhere...

Texting: My Bible study girls.  I love that we can 'converse' all day, everyday, about {EVERYTHING}

Pinning: Some dream home ideas, farmhouse tables, colorful bunting, craft room storage, and anything with a white sofa.  Because it was be a whiiiiiiiiiiiiile before I can purchase a white sofa.  Can I get a Momma-of-boys-woop-woop?!

Tweeting: I tried twitter for .2 seconds.  There are no pictures.  Kinda like this post.

Crafting: Cut boards for my farmhouse craft table this weekend.  Scouting out the right boards for the legs this week and hopefully will be able to turn them next week.  ... building is considered crafting, yes?

Doing: Swinging on my front porch, listening to my kiddos playing in the mud behind me, typing this blog post

Going: to ball practice this evening.  Pman is on the 5/6 year old ball team and we are literally scheduled for practice/games 6ish times each week!  With some not starting until 7-7:30 and lasting about an hour and a half each!!! HOLIZE COWZ.  Five year olds, people.  Five.  And did I mention they aren't allowed to use a tee?!  ... I'm like dying over here.  I refuse to fuss at Perry for playing in/throwing/eating the outfield dirt.  I seriously wouldn't mind a tee.  Nutso.

Loving: THIS WEATHER!!!!  Oh My Stars, fabulous.  And that my kiddos are currently head to toe mud balls.

Hating: That they are wearing their BRAND NEW WHITE {were white} monogrammed St Patty's Day T-Shirts.  At least that's a one day holiday.

Discovering: More and more each day that I L-O-V-E being a boy mom.  I have always dreamed of a little girl.  So has Justin.  And we both still do.  But last night I actually looked at our boys across the dinner table... ok, Taco Bell's table... and whispered to Justin that the crazy part of myself thought it would be really super awesome to be starring at three little boys.

Enjoying: The one person swing my grandparent's gave me for my birthday two years ago... that I'm currently swinging in.

Hoping: Like I mentioned above, we have a little something dancing around in the background that's had a few roadblocks and we are really hoping for and looking forward to that being ironed out.

Celebrating: St Patrick's Day!!!  I love a good excuse to whip up the boy's some festive shirts the night before!

Smelling: Dinner seeping through the windows.  Because they are up.  Because this weather is AH MAY ZING

Thanking: God that Perry is currently hugging Jack Cruz and checking on him and saying he's sorry, since he accidentally just whopped him in the head and slung mud in his eyes.  Oops.  No seriously, this is huge.  Like parting the red seas BIG.

Considering: Hmmmm.  You know.  I am considering something right now.  But its in the pray-about-it stage and I'm not quite sure I'm ready to lay all my cards down on the table right this second.  I'm mysterious like that.  And nope.  Because I know everyone's thinking it, we're not planning another pregnancy or an adoption.   Well, actually we definitely are, but not for this very second. ;)

Finishing: My afternoon unwind and relax time.  Because its time for homework, dinner, and ball time.

Starting: Laundry.  Because my boys are LITERALLY mud from head to toe.  Those shirts are totally ruined.

Our Blanket of White

Remember that last post when I said we were all finally feeling better and all healthy again?  Yeah.  That lasted about 48 hours and we were back at it again.  Colds, sinus infections, strep throat, and ear infections this round.

And though two of us were still feeling pretty crummy, there was no way we were not playing in this year's blizzard.

And yes, all my northern friend folk, to us Alabamians, 3/4 inch of snow is considered quite the winter storm! ;) ... But to our sweet surprise, we got a little more this year... some even getting 8-10 inches!!  (The 'crazy' amount of snow started about 2 minutes North of us, but we got just enough to have lots of fun, but still be able to grab some take-out cheese dip from the local Mexican restaurant down the street! Phew!)

{thankful for}
a snow week
